1- FLOWER MARKET

Start the day enjoying the flower market. Don’t forget to buy some tulips seeds to bring home.
Comece o dia no mercado das flores. Não se esqueça de comprar umas sementes de tulipas para levar para casa. 

2- DAM SQUARE

Go directly to the main square. There you can find the Madame Tussaud Museum and The Royal palace.
Vá em direção à praça principal de Amsterdão. Lá poderá encontrar o Museu Madame Tussaud e o Palácio Real.

3- CHEESE MUSEUM

If you are lucky enough to find an online Anne Frank museum ticket for one of your days in Amsterdam, go directly to the museum.
Otherwise, I recommend you to skip it: staying in a long queue to see a small place (although of major value) is a loss of precious time. I always  try to buy tickets online so that I don’t lose half-a-day in queues, it’s just not worth of so much of your holidays time.
Instead of Anne Frank house, the next step would be…museums! Amsterdam has plenty of them; and close to the Anne Frank house I chose the place where I could delight myself with cheese: the cheese museum!
Se conseguir comprar online um bilhete para o Museu de Anne Frank, para um dos dias que estiver por Amsterdão, vá directo para o Museu. Caso contrário, recomendo que salte esse ponto turístico: ficar numa longa fila para ver um lugar pequeno (embora de grande valor) é uma perda de tempo. Eu tento, sempre, comprar bilhetes com antecedência (online) para evitar perder meios-dias das minhas férias em filas.
Em vez de visitar a casa de Anne Frank, o próximo passo será… museus! Amesterdão tem imensos; e perto da casa de Anne Frank pode escolher aquele onde se pode deliciar com queijo: o museu do queijo!

Visit the big square of Rembrandt. You can lunch here, where you can find a varieties of coffees and restaurants.
Visite a grande praça de Rembrandt. Aqui encontrará alguma variedade de cafés e restaurantes, onde poderá almoçar.

6- REMBRANDT HOUSE

If you are an art lover, pick a museum to visit in this first afternoon. I went to Rembrant’s house and there I could learn all about the painting techniques and how him and his pupils manually fabricated their oils and pigments.
My holidays are always more complete if I learn something new, and for all I have learned I fell that this goal was accomplished! 🙂
Se é um amante da arte, escolha um museu para visitar durante a tarde. Eu optei pela casa de Rembrant, onde aprendi sobre algumas técnicas de pintura e como Rembrandt e os seus pupilos faziam manualmente as suas tintas e óleos.
As minhas férias são sempre mais completas se aprender algo novo, e por tudo o que eu aprendi eu acredito que esta meta foi cumprida! 🙂

7- BROUWERIJ’T IJ

Go to this windmill and drink a beer. When you go inside you just feel the smell of beer everywhere, with a crowd speaking very loudly and merrily.
Not surprisingly it is one of the most recognized beer houses and it is definitly worth a visit.
Vá a este moinho de vento beber uma cerveja. Quando entrar sentirá o cheiro de cerveja em todo o lado e verá uma multidão a falar muito alto e alegremente.
Não surpreendentemente, é uma das cervejarias mais reconhecidas e definitivamente vale a pena a visita.

8- MOEDERS

If you want to experience dutch traditional food, go to the Moeders! Bring your stomach empty and ready for a massive meal, because you will eat a lot: the proportions are quite generous.
Se quiser experimentar a comida tradicional holandesa, vá ao Moeders! Leve o seu estômago vazio e pronto para uma enorme refeição, porque terá que comer muito: as proporções são muito generosas.
