It’s a well known fact that good coffee shops are hard to find in Spain. San Sebastián is no exception. The common coffee served by most of the bars is masked by the use of milk, the so called “café con leche”. Whenever you ask for a “café solo”, you get this cup of dirty water that has nothing to do with coffee. There were several times where I could not even finish drinking what I was served.
Fortunately, there is one coffee shop, which took me too long to find out, that is absolutely great. Caffè Terzi is a dedicated space to the proper serving of coffee. The owners are two basque entrepeuners that went to Bologna, Italy, to learn and master coffee. They brought with them all they learned and now they serve it at a cost of 1€!
You have a range of coffees, which they blend in-situ, that go from the cheapest 1 euro to the more expensive versions. Decaffeinatos are not forgotten for those who enjoy the taste but cannot handle the caffeine.
I am now a daily costumer.
Todos sabemos que tomar um bom café em Espanha poderá ser difícil. San Sebastián não foge à regra. O café servido é mascarado com o uso do leite, o chamado “café con leche”. Sempre que pedimos um “café solo” recebemos nada mais nada menos que um copo de água suja, que nada tem a ver com café. Houve várias vezes em que não consegui terminar o café servido.
Felizmente, existe um café em San Sebastián onde os expressos são absolutamente fantásticos. O Caffè Terzi é um espaço dedicado aos amantes do café. Os proprietários são dois empresários bascos que foram para Bolonha, Itália, aprender a arte do café. Trouxeram com eles tudo o que aprenderam e agora servem cafés a 1€!
Existe uma grande variedade de cafés, os mais baratos começam em 1 euro e os descafeinados não ficaram esquecidos. Fiquei fã!
