A week a go we went to a nice coffee/restaurant in San Sebastián, named
Kafe Botanika. It is located in Árbol de Gernika street, in front of Urumea river and close to María Cristina bridge.
Botanika is a friendly, alternative and an eclectic space located in a old and renovated art nouveau house with an outdoor garden where people can have their meals while listening to live performances of artists.
It is a new business in the city, and with their organic, healthy, vegetarian food they captived a lot of people. For those who are not vegetarians or do not like a veggie meal they have some meat and fish plates.
We already been there before to have a glass of wine while enjoying the atmosphere; this time around we went for the veggie food.
Há uma semana fomos a um café/restaurante, em San Sebastián, de seu nome
Kafe Botanika. Está localizado na rua Árbol de Gernika, em frente ao rio Urumea e perto da ponte Maria Cristina.
Botanika é um espaço amigável, alternativo e eclético, localizado numa renovada casa art nouveau. Possui um jardim ao ar livre onde as pessoas podem desfrutar das suas refeições, enquanto ouvem performances ao vivo.
É um novo negócio na cidade, e com a sua comida orgânica, saudável e vegetariana conseguem cativar imensa gente. Para aqueles que não são vegetarianos ou não apreciam uma refeição vegetariana existem pratos de carne e peixe.
Já tínhamos estado neste espaço uma vez, mas apenas para beber um copo de vinho, desta vez fomos degustar a comida vegetariana.
They have a daily menu that includes bread, starter, main dish and desert, and costs around 10-14€ (without drinks). In the weekends they usually propose dishes from different places in the world, Mexico, Peru, Korea, Portugal, and many more. For this reason it is likely that if you eat there for two weeks The best of it is that you can go today and next week and you will find different plates.
We choose the daily menu, ”menu del dia”, together with a “botanika juice” (apple, carrot, limon and ginger) and an orange juice.
O restaurante possui um menu diário que engloba pão, entrada, prato principal e sobremesa, por um custo de 10 a 14 € (sem bebidas). Nos fins de semana há pratos de diferentes lugares do mundo como México, Peru, Coreia, Portugal… Por esta razão, é provável que encontre pratos diferentes entre hoje e daqui a oito dias.
Nós escolher o menu diário, “menu del dia”, juntamente com um “sumo Botanika” (maçã, cenoura, limão e gengibre) e um sumo de laranja.
For starters we had a vegetables soup with chia seeds.
Para começar, comemos uma sopa de legumes com sementes de chia.
The main dish was a veggie burger made with beans, mushrooms, seaweeds, sesame seeds and with a sause made from the super-food spirulina (that I use at home, and I love it).
O prato principal foi um hambúrguer vegetariano com feijão, cogumelos, algas, sementes de sésamo, acompanhado de um molho elaborado com o super-alimento spirulina (que eu uso em casa, e adoro).
For desserts they let us choose between a yogurt option and a yummy dessert of a japanese critric fruit covered with dark chocolate. For sweet toother people, the last one can be too ”acid”.
Para sobremesa pudemos optar entre uma opção de iogurte e um doce japonês de citrinos coberto com chocolate negro. Para pessoas gulosas, este último pode ser muito ” ácido ”.
Well, that’s it! Have a change for a while and go there; I recommend you to reserve a table if you are going for a meal.
